The children had a fantastic day yesterday at Sledmere Estate, they looked at where our food comes from and even got to meet some of the animals. @HumberEdTrust

This afternoon, we refined our designs and painted our clay pots using bright colours inspired by Millefiori 🎨🖌️

Science week: Year 4 looked at Alexander Graham Bell and his invention of the telephone. We studied his early life and what inspired him to invent the telephone.We then had a go at creating our own telephones and used our knowledge of sound to explain how they work.@HumberEdTrust

Year 4 were lucky enough to have a visit from Father Christmas this afternoon 🎅🏻
He even said that he had brought us all a present 🎁

Today, we have begun making our Christingles ready for our service on Friday 🕯️

Class 4 had a great morning at the Hull and East riding museum. They looked at artefacts from Roman Britain and even went shopping in a Roman village! In the afternoon, the class went to Ferens art gallery and sketched some of their favourite pieces.

Year 4 have been working on their sketching skills this afternoon. We chose objects that we thought were interesting and sketched out a still life scene. We looked carefully at the overall shape before adding detail.

Some of the children from Year 4 have been litter picking this lunch time.
They managed to collect lots of rubbish in only 20 minutes and made a huge improvement to our school environment! 🗑️ #binitdontdropit
