This should be bigger news: AI is *revitalizing the fossil fuels industry.*
Bloomberg called it a "surprising resurgence" in gas-fired power plants when we were on the brink of a transition to clean energy.
And big tech has nothing to say about it.

No "herd immunity" with COVID. NONE. Not now, not ever. Take that out of your toolbox @Gov_NB. Time to get back to vaccinations and masking to prevent infection.
At the bargaining table for the Medical Science Professionals this week and really disheartened by the Higgs govt’s indifference toward serious staffing issues in healthcare.
Other Atlantic provinces have taken this seriously & are drawing our professionals away as a result. 🧵

@ShelleyEgan@HorizonHealthNB This! watching staff and visitors go in and out of a COVID outbreak unit a few weeks ago with no masks on yet (because it was the hallway presumably??) made me feel unhinged
A new study found that the difference between not strictly and strictly wearing N95 respirators in healthcare settings is equivalent to the difference between detecting or not detecting SARS-CoV-2 in the air.
In other words, we live in a world where the laws of physics apply.
Effective Sept. 3, 2024, masking will be required in all patient-facing/clinical areas of Horizon facilities, including hospitals, community health centres, clinics, addiction and mental health facilities, and any location where patient care takes place.
Very similar circumstances all around w/ my dad in a hosp in NB. Cardio patient waiting for surgery, C19 everywhere, sent home positive to chronically ill family
The mother-in-law of someone close to me (T) is in hospital with lung cancer & the hospital has her sharing the room with a patient sick with COVID-19! T’s parents both have chronic illnesses and have so far avoided COVID-19. (1/3) #nspoli
My mom was talking to my aunt today about COVID and everything that's been happening with us and she was said "it's just a cold". ma'am your husband literally died from it what do you MEAN
how are people. just how. are people
If you stopped believing what the government was telling you re: Palestine, as many have
But you still trust them on COVID
I need you to take a good long hard look at reality and facts
If you hear the phrase
“a million new covid cases per day”
and your response is
“if things were really that bad, the government would tell us”
I’m gonna need you to remove your head from the sand so we can have a productive conversation
A province-wide outbreak of whooping cough (Pertussis) has been declared.
https://t.co/CeG5RlOb5d
Whooping cough is a highly contagious, vaccine-preventable disease that can occur at any age. It is very serious in babies and young children, especially for those who are too young to receive the vaccine.
All New Brunswickers, especially expectant parents and anyone in close contact with babies and young children, should ensure that their immunization against whooping cough is up to date.
More information about whooping cough is available here: https://t.co/spvcAlFE8i
These NB hospitals have COVID outbreaks: Moncton Hospital (Cardio); Saint John (Family Med, Gen Surgery, Transitional Care, Burn, Palliative); St. Joe's (Geriatric Eval & Management); DECRH (Medical); Miramichi (Restorative/Rehab) - Note: NS doesn't share this info.
He's being kicked out while infectiously COVID positive, into our high risk household, because that's hospital policy "after 5 days" . First we were told 10 days but that was wrong. They won't even acknowledge his RAT btw they "don't do those" @HorizonHealthNB
look, I'm barely on here, but I've come to yell bc my dad is in the hospital waiting on serious heart surgery, and he was moved from one @HorizonHealthNB hospital to another directly into a covid outbreak ward. where staff lets visitors in and safety protocols are loose as hell.
