My unpopular opinion is that was pure passion from both the fans and the artist. With funding from corporate companies, the stage improved, the sound improved….. then the companies were like, what if we take our stage and sound and just invite these people for vibes? That’s a conversation we must have… I believe as people close to the arts, we should find a middle ground where people still show up in numbers and money is also made. The finesse that came with LED screens is a marvel to the eyes but leaves artists bleeding money they could have easily made in that video.

PUBLIC STATEMENT

The Uganda Bureau of Statistics (UBOS) has learnt with concern of the launch of a “National Data Strategy” by the Ministry of Information, Communication Technology and National Guidance (MoICT&NG).

The Bureau informs the public that the strategy breaches the provisions of the UBOS Act, 1998, Cap. 333, which establishes UBOS as the principal data collecting and disseminating agency responsible for coordinating, monitoring and supervising the National Statistical System.

The public is therefore strongly advised to treat the impugned “National Data Strategy” recently launched by the MoICT&NG with the utmost contempt it deserves.
