4/4-can’t thank the staff enough & the commitment of the players during a very tricky and noisy tour. This team will be better for this experience. Now time to rest, recover and get some stability back into this programme so the team & can go bigger & better in the future
1/4
Couple days to let the post game blues work its way through as I travelled back to Aotearoa🇳🇿. Professionally- can’t help but feel we could have shown more glimpses of our progression but when you are up against quality, anything short of your best makes it extremely tough.
3/4- While I feel some expectations sometimes neglected any real consideration of context, I know we all gave everything to push 3 very good sides as much as we could. Seeing a couple special moments in front of goal will be memories I’ll remember.
A lot of good discussions and learning opportunities the past year with a good group of people. Still a few things to complete ahead of me but without a doubt, a year that will impact my approach to the game, how I work and ability to connect with those around me better.

Thanks @simonmead21@NRF_Football@Hudl for having me on the webinar last night. The analysis game has changed so much in the 9 years I have worked with NZF. Was enjoyable sharing ‘what’ we did in this space leading into the WWC23. Hopefully a couple ideas in there for others.
Congratulations @MelvilleUnited on a great victory to take you through to the final! Really energetic & clinical 2nd half.
Big thanks 4 the invite. Seeing the next gen getting photos and autographs with this local legend showed, again, the power of this world cup & being a Fern
And finally, without my whānau and friends around to support & push me, help me stay focussed, encourage, listen, help my boys…NONE of this is possible. You know who you are. The sacrifice they have made for this to happen is truly remarkable.
Time to review, rest and recover
Given it a couple days to sink in and whilst extremely gutted that this has come to an end, I am also very grateful and humbled to have been involved in such an life changing experience with this staff, these players and our whenua.
Some key reflections…
4- Aotearoa came out to support and was unrecognisable in the way they got behind the team and are continuing to support the women’s game and this WC. This is a special time in sports for this country. Keep embracing it.
