@kayla_dcim Ferrera shows qualities of a leader with her activism, with engagement help boosted by her celebrity status. "She then realized the power that storytelling had, and how her platform could help advocate for change." (Hylton, 2023) and her role in the Barbie movie cement her values
@jgarciae114 Hi! I looked her up too and I agree! Her platform as an actress helps boost her visibility and active awareness of her impact with her humanitarian efforts and aid.
@puck_winter Hello! Winfrey is a good example of a celebrity leader, the Oprah Winfrey Foundation is a reflection of her active commitment and efforts towards her cause. It's also easier to boost one's own cause if one's a celebrity with an audience.
Angelina Jolie is both a celebrity and a leader. She has shown active efforts in activism in global humanitarian issues and leadership qualities that inspires and commits to the cause. She is also a celebrity as a hollywood actress and director.

@indyvanek This is a good article on how social media makes you a better leader. Personally I saw it make stronger connections to Kahai's argument than Champy's- whileas it does emphasis genuine connection like Champy, I saw more examples of how to put it in motion like Kahai's argument
@Ashleyyy5570 Seeing Ruben's competencies in descriptions of leadership on social media is interesting to see how many differnet facets and areas it can apply to
@mahek_DCIM I think this is an interesting touch, indeed social media breaks down a wall of formality and stiffness and allows people to see each other in a more relaxed manner, giving the people you work with more personality and a face, allowing easier connections to be made.
An article on intersection of leadership and social media: https://t.co/sHUbCB6zce
Something relating to our reading from Kahai is this article also mentions leaders develop skills specific to SM to utilize the communication aspect with others to its greatest potential.

@mahek_DCIM I agree Michelle Obama is a great example of a leader because she actively connects with people to bring them together to move towards goals.
@Ashleyyy5570 I agree Greta Thunberg is a great example of a leader, displaying values she actively work towards and gathering others together towards the cause. I didn't realize she had an online presence but she has reached a lot of people with that following count.
@puck_winter It's pretty cool to see Schiemer interact with your post; agreed the years of expertise backs up his credibility on Twitter and uses efficient ways to communicate with his audience on this platform

In Kevin Kruse's (2013) definition of leadership, Bill Gates is an example of a leader because of his social influence, having a clear goal, and requiring the collaboration of others in an organization to achieve the goal.
