I will fight for the friendships in my life because they're worth it.
I think if I've learned anything about friendships, about people, it's to hang in, stay connected, and fight for them. But in that same aspect, I have to let myself be fought for too. Don't walk away, don't be too distracted, don't be too busy or too tired, and don't take them for granted.
They are the links of the chain that holds life together. They remind me that I can continue to believe in the good in others just as they believe in the good in me. That they see me for who I am and accept me for being who I am. I think that's so important when building the foundations of any relationship.
Sometimes you have to be strong for yourself and to know that you're a good person and a good friend. What's meant to be will end up being good and what isn't just won't be. Love is worth fighting for, but you can't be the only one fighting for it. People have to fight for you too. And the people who don't, who aren't willing to do that - to meet you on the battlefield where you're an army of 2, then it just means that you were willing to give more than they were willing to give to you.
I want people to realize and achieve great things, to not lose something that is real.
So just remember that I see you, I hear you, and I'm here.
I'll fight until I can't anymore.
And when that day comes, I hope I'm ready to be fought for too.
I keep seeing "hide the chairs", "don't bring out the blindfolds". What if they do Turbulence? Maybe they might sneak in Take Me Home? Maybe the Ring? I'm excited for the 2nd performance either way. 🤷♀️
