So many adult kids shock their parents when years later they tell them stuff that happened that they were afraid to say as kids…I get it. First, I’m very sorry for your loss. I applaud your willingness to sacrifice yourself for your wife and your family. That’s definitely one of the ways manhood can look, and being the strength and support for those who need it is admirable. Also, men and dads have feelings and thoughts that matter just as much, deserve empathy just as much, and need support just as much. You suffered the same loss she did. Stuffing your feelings down and constantly erasing yourself and your needs for the sake of everyone else kinda sucks too..but I get it.

Unpopular opinion, but I think a lot of gay men who were molested knew they were different at an early age and were drawn to males and those males recognized it early. It’s absolutely wrong to do ANYTHING sexual with a kid, but it seems like many gay boys get molested REPEATEDLY by many different men…and some other boys never do. Let’s be honest, we’ve all seen kids you knew were gonna grow up to be gay. Those are often the ones targeted. Maybe not in EVERY case but often they just got clocked as an easy kid to get cuz they were already displaying gay characteristics. Even those always chasing and being weird with girls and being too borderline “too sexy” with girls at an early age. Their sexuality is waking up, they just know they’ll get in trouble for doing it to other boys
