Stop lying!
All economic indices GEJ inherited nosedived under him.
I mean everything!
This is despite having one the longest run of high crude oil revenues in our history.
He couldn't build reserves- he almost halved what he inherited.
Excess crude account was depleted to only about 10% of what he inherited.
Insecurity worsened- Dasukigate
Immediately crude oil price started tumbling, revenues dried up. Because he didn't create any buffer.
First quarter 2015- we started having negative GDP growth.
Inflation started climbing.
Q4,2014- we started borrowing to pay salaries. Yes! We started printing.
States could no longer pay salaries.
The trajectory of our GDP already showed we would have entered recession even if GEJ won the election.
The CBN governor and his finance Minister predicted doom for the coming government because they knew we were already on a macroeconomic cliff.
His CBN governor was screaming at the recklessness from the rooftop, he was fired!
Ngozi Okonjo Iweala in her book- "Fighting corruption is Dangerous" also implied the gross mismanagement. Read the Book!
What are you defending, do you know more than them?
The coordinating minister of the economy and the CBN governor already predicted doom, all it took was just four years!
So @OpeBee is very right. In terms of macroeconomic management, PBAT has done better. He didn't say the economy was better. How have they both managed what was handed over to them? That is the question
It is simple, compare the macroeconomic indicators both presidents inherited and what they left behind ( or where BAT is now).
You cannot be using snapshots of events in history to analyse macroeconomic management, you use historical trends.
Shout "Wow" from today till tomorrow, data doesn't lie.
@fakechainsawboy@fimiletoks@Blccak I have nothing to say to you π idiot say canβt wait till dey deport me π youβre waiting ? Youβll never reach here broke boy
