He left behind ₦61 trillion in cash in both Nigerian and foreign banks. He also left behind 800 petrol stations within and outside Nigeria that do not bear his name, but belong to him.

In Kano alone, he left 500 houses, plus 1,200 plots with only fencing or partial structures, no buildings on them just empty plots.
He also left 320 houses in other towns across Nigeria and abroad.

He left 280 vehicles in use, and another 120 vehicles that are not in use, just parked.
He left shares worth over ₦30 trillion in companies within and outside Nigeria.

In an interview he granted in 2022, he said he started buying private jets in 1967 at the cost of $120,000 USD. He had 10 private jets, each not worth less than ₦1 billion.

He lived with four wives, had over 45 children and more than 150 grandchildren.

He was buried in Medina, Saudi Arabia according to his wish.

I also believe it is important for Tinubu to protect his reputation too now. He should start publishing the exact monthly allocations each state governor and local government chairman receives in the newspapers and the same should be done for the constituency allowances of every senator and member of the House of Representatives. This level of transparency will definately allow the public to see everything clearly. I can’t give my wife money for our children’s school fees and only for the kids to be sent home for not paying. I should be able to confront her about this now..haba

In his book " Beating All ODDs" , Sam Omatseye provided a well detailed account of Bola Tinubu’s strenuous journey to the presidency. He highlighted different obstacles Tinubu faced, both within his party and from the opposition which include;  restructuring the party hierarchy, the controversial Muslim-Muslim ticket, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Saga, the certificate controversy, health related issues and the severe fuel and naira scarcity crises e.t.c . Despite all these challenges mentioned above, Tinubu emerged victorious in the  election.
Omatseye also raised the intense hatred directed at Tinubu to the level that some openly wished for him not to return from his periods of illness. Tinubu himself acknowledged this fact during one of the interviews granted, admitting that he avoids the internet because no matter what he does,  people are always bashing him without justification.
Omatseye pointed out two qualities that set Tinubu apart from many other politicians: his remarkable gift of imagination and his  love for prodigals: always willing to have them back.
What amaze me is the depth of this hatred toward a man whose contributions to Lagos State remain unerasable and whose crucial role in the rebirth of democracy in Nigeria cannot be overlooked. How can someone who has helped so many people to prominent positions across various fields and who continues to contribute immensely to the development of the nation, attract such bitter treatment ?

The reason I said I see nothing unusual is because it has become a norm in our society for politicians to distribute food items and money during election periods. This is not peculiar to ekiti State alone but across the country. Rather than raining curses  on  politicians, we should also question the stupid mindset of those who eagerly collect these crumbs, even when we know  many of them can afford such items. This same  people will collect 2k tomorrow and still vote against their conscience while  only to complain about poor governance afterward.
