Thank you, Kelowna.
Last night, you gave me the honour of serving as your mayor for another four years. I don’t take that lightly, and I won’t take it for granted.
There’s more work to do, and I’m ready to get to it.
There’s nothing safe about a site that creates disorder for the surrounding community.
Kelowna City Council is asking Health Canada to deny the 2027 renewal of the federal authorization for the supervised consumption site at Outreach Urban Health and prioritize treatment.
I spent 40 years building a family business.
That taught me to set clear priorities, get value for every dollar, and be accountable for results.
It's the same approach I brought to City Hall.
We have made real progress. Join me to continue the work https://t.co/nmBDqcJ1vb
Crime is down, long-delayed projects are moving forward, and new community spaces are being built.
There is more work to do. But now is not the time to start over or stop investing.
That’s why I’m running for re-election as Mayor of Kelowna.
Together, let’s keep building.
400 police files. 67 convictions. Back on our streets
For a judge to release someone they must believe 3 things:
He will not commit more crimes
He will show up to court
He will not undermine public safety
How with this record could anyone believe that? https://t.co/HqQCTdtez5
Kelowna is heartbroken by yesterday’s tragedy in Tumbler Ridge.
Our thoughts are with the families who are grieving, those who were injured, and everyone affected by this devastating loss.
We extend our condolences and stand with the people of Tumbler Ridge during this time.
WATCH: I’m in Ottawa speaking directly to MP’s about the impacts repeat offending is having on communities across the country.
We need a justice system that prioritizes public safety and holds chronic offenders accountable.
Today’s bail reform legislation is a positive step forward, and I’m pleased to see a focus on violent and repeat offending.
Kelowna has consistently called for bail reform that holds chronic offenders accountable.
Grateful to see progress, but our work isn’t done.
BC’s charge rate has dropped by more than 50% over the past decade—while nationally it fell just 11%.
This gap fuels a revolving door of chronic offenders and erodes public confidence.
Kelowna is calling for: 🔹 Bail reform 🔹 More Crown prosecutors

Communities across BC are united and demanding better.
At today’s Save our Streets rally in Victoria, we called for urgent action:
🔹 Bail reform 🔹 More Crown prosecutors 🔹 Mandatory compassionate care
The time for action is now.
Mayor Dyas demands federal, provincial action on repeat offenders and bail reform.
Dyas said the system was "broken" and allows repeat offenders to be "continually cycling through the system."

From the KLO Bridge replacement to the Glenmore Road widening to the Royal View Water Transmission Main, we are getting things built.
These projects are about planning smarter, delivering faster, and ensuring Kelowna’s infrastructure keeps pace with our growing community.
In Kelowna, 15 people generated 1,335 police files last year.
This revolving door of crime erodes confidence and drains resources.
I’ve written to Minister Fraser urging bail reforms to put safety first, curb repeat offenders, and enforce real consequences
Search and rescue volunteers step up when our community needs them most.
Today we confirmed funding for the future home of COSAR.
This new facility, part of the Glenmore Protective Services Campus, will strengthen emergency response and keep our community safe.
Community safety is our top priority.
New Crime Severity Index data shows early signs of progress—but we know the work is far from over.
Thank you to our RCMP, Bylaw, and community partners for everything you do to help make Kelowna safer.
Small businesses are the backbone of Kelowna’s economy—and this summer, it is more important than ever to support local.

Big news for tennis in Kelowna 🎾
We’ve broken ground on a new winter tennis facility at Mission Rec Park—one of just four projects selected across Canada for 2025 and the first in B.C.
Thanks to Tennis Clubs of Canada, @TennisCanada , @Rogers, and for making it happen!
