@jillian_rigert I am so proud of you! We are never too old to do what we desire. I am 43 and finishing Derm residency in 2024. My road has been long, DDS~>MD ~>DSc-> ECFMG certification and applying for residency in the US- no regrets. Go for it!

One thing I wish I had done throughout med school/residency is keep a running list of all the awesome things I’ve done: difficult diagnoses I’ve made, patients I’ve helped, kudos from attendings, etc.

Because my dumbass brain only wants to remember all the times I’ve fucked up

Although tinted sunscreens have been proven to protect against dermatoses exacerbated by visible light which commonly affect people with darker skin tones, our study revealed that only a small number of products offer shades that match skin of color.
