I have a pain in the pit of my stomach. The first time I spoke to Nolan ‘s father after 30 years was to offer my prayers and safe return last night. To now know that he’ll never seen his son’s beautiful smile again is a feeling that will not subside. I know most do not believe justice will be served, but my faith tells me we cannot stop until those responsible for his death have their day in court. My heart and prayers go out to Nolan’s family. There are too many inconsistencies in this story. This tragedy cannot be ignored.

Knowing nothing does wonders for the nervous system. Don’t check your emails. Don’t ask your mom why any of it happened. Mute him on twitter. Ignore the nutrition label. Have notifications off for everything. Remove your eyes, ears, and nerve endings.
The word "slavery" is too small for what happened.
People were hunted, chained, branded, raped, tortured, sold, and worked to death. Families disappeared. Languages, names, and traditions were stripped away.
It was one of history's greatest crimes against humanity.
