THE SPEAKER OF COUNCIL CONGRATULATES CLLR DADA MORERO ON HIS ELECTION AS THE EXECUTIVE MAYOR

The Speaker of Council in the City of Johannesburg, Cllr. Margaret Arnolds, congratulates Cllr. Sello Dada Morero on his election as the Executive Mayor of the City. Cllr. Arnolds expresses her confidence in Cllr. Morero’s ability to lead Johannesburg through a transformative period, stating that, “Cllr. Morero has demonstrated unwavering dedication to the people of Johannesburg, and I am confident that his leadership will bring about the positive change our City needs”.

Cllr. Arnolds acknowledges the immense responsibility that comes with the position of Executive Mayor, emphasizing the need for collaborative governance: “the challenges our City faces are vast, but with strong, united leadership, I believe we can overcome them. I encourage all Councillors and City officials to support Mayor Morero in his mission to uplift our communities and improve the lives of all Johannesburg residents”, said Cllr. Arnolds.

In conclusion, the Speaker expresses her full support for Cllr. Morero's administration and her hope for a prosperous future for the City. “I am committed to working closely with Mayor Morero and the entire Council to ensure that Johannesburg continues to thrive. Together, we will build a City that is inclusive, forward-thinking, and committed to the well-being of its people”, she affirmed.
