I don’t know why people are so shocked when they come out of surgery and get offered Tylenol like it’s enough.
This isn’t new.
You just weren’t paying attention when it was happening to someone else.
Pain management didn’t just change for chronic pain patients.
The entire culture shifted.
Now it’s showing up everywhere.
Appendectomies.
ACL tears.
Car accidents.
Post-op recovery.
People who have never taken an opioid in their life are now being told to “tough it out” with medications that don’t even touch severe pain.
And the worst part?
They think it’s about them.
It’s not.
It’s about fear, policy pressure, and a system that overcorrected so hard it forgot what pain actually feels like.
Opioids aren’t the enemy.
Misuse is.
But when you treat the drug like the problem instead of the context, you don’t fix anything.
You just create a new kind of suffering.
And now it’s not limited to one group.
It’s reaching everyone.
If you think this doesn’t apply to you, wait until it does.
@Mr_Husky1 For those asking grok for help as to the truth of this article, there are multiple links online.
100 % it REALLY happened.

Drop your pain-denial story below. One sentence. Raw. Anonymous is fine.
Example: “Broke my femur in two places — ER sent me home with Tylenol and a smile.”
Every single reply here gets counted toward the 300 K.
They can’t claim they “didn’t know” when tens of thousands are screaming in one place.
Takes 10 seconds. Changes everything.
Do it now.

All of our Rite Aid pharmacies are closing, bankrupted by the endless opioid epidemic. People in my town are still going to od because the pharmacies had nothing at all to do with the epidemic. Can you say street fentanyl?

What a kind and loving heart Pope Francis had. I can't read the whole thread when sharing it. Take a few minutes to check out his post. I had no idea about some of these acts. Mercy was in him. @views09_
Expressing the excruciating pain of trigeminal neuralgia and CRPS in words is a difficult task. That's why I've created this image, as it may convey the suffering more effectively than words ever could. #trigeminalneuralgia#crps#tmj#facialpain#jawpain#cpps
I may have the conviction that I would NEVER take high blood pressure medications nor medications for diabetes, but that does NOT give me the right to deny those medications to those who have high blood pressure or diabetes.
The same thing is true for pain medications, the most effective meds being #OpioidRxs.
I may have the conviction that I would NEVER take pain meds including #OpioidRxs, but that does NOT give me the right to deny pain meds, including
#OpioidRxs, to pain patients.
It is a simple principle: people have the right to survive, and if the only medicine which can help them to do that happens to be one that is opposed to my personal beliefs then my beliefs do not take priority over their right to survive or live no matter how important I think I am.
@scorpio_19_11 I'm sorry scorpio. I'm in small town western PA. But I'll share your search here and on Facebook. Pray you find someone who can help you.

@SharonHeraldPa I'm one of the residents at the Towers. Thank you to everyone who has/will help. Didn't realize all that's wrong. I was homeless for a month before Joe Fusco rented me an apartment & got over 3 thousand from ERAP. Homelessness is horrid. This is bad but way better than homeless.
I weep for Canadians. When you are just a # to society and when you become a burden, they want to subtract that number. Do NOT think that would never happen here. I never thought drs would be forced to stop giving pain relief to those who need it and yet it’s here in the US!
Read this comment, and sign the petition. If you're in pain, there should be a legal remedy. Let MDs be MDs and keep politicians with limited interference. or do we need to have other Fuochis. at this point … https://t.co/gClaruRhYD via @Change
