I reject the idea that Illinois is beyond saving.

Illinois taxpayers will be on the hook for over $700 million for SNAP if Pritzker doesn't start doing his job.

A year ago, the federal government put in place penalties for states like Illinois that are notorious for high payment error rates. At the time, Illinois' error rate was 11.56%. Well, new numbers are out, and we got worse: we're now at 14.67% (5th worst among states). If we don't improve dramatically, state taxpayers will be responsible for hundreds of millions in additional costs. (And it is possible: Wisconsin's error rate is just 5.72%.)

Over and over we see examples in Pritzker's administration of his failure to lead. He's great at the flashy stuff...but, apparently, don't bother him with the actual work that goes into governing.
