@EinSchwarzwelt Exactly. Also, game 1 of the World Cup was the 1st time Poch actually played the best 11 available. Team is as good as its weakest link. The team suffers when just 1 or 2 poor players are on the pitch. Now imagine half or more of the starting lineup. 1 can't carry 9 anchors
@StanUsmnt I'd trust Aaronson more in that position to try and kill off a match, honestly. Remember, Tillman never played that position for the USMNT until game 1 of the WC. The moment won't be too big for Brenden.
@StanUsmnt@MLSMoves@BoomerRichey Bro, Kyle Martino said at the beginning of the match that his own starting lineup would be Berhalter for Tillman and Richards (duh) for Miles. That guy is blind.
@raccoonjesus24 I stopped posting on HFboards a couple years ago. This FO killed my fandom. I used to watch the Kings on channel 9. That's how long I go back.
@StanUsmnt I was the opposite. His quality on the ball wasn't tight enough for RB or RWB for my liking, but his measurables and other qualities made him ideal for RCB to me. Poch made the right call here. But flip side totally missed on trying Musah at RW.
@herculezg@scuffedpod In Ream's effort to not get beat one-on-one he continually gives up half the pitch on counters. Then he isn't closing the ground to put pressure on the crosser. His positioning isn't where it was 4 years ago and it's going to be a problem in this World Cup
@StanUsmnt Freeman is everything people thought Miles Robinson was. Tim Ream has been the shakiest of the back so far. His lack of foot speed is really apparent on the right attacking side for Senegal
@StanUsmnt For as garbage as the end result was from our last friendly window, the first halves of both matches were competitive with our "A" team out there. Now once the subs came in...
@ConcacafEdgar@Kevin_Kinkead The hypocrisy is crazy. Roldan got chance after chance. He finally has a good match after 40+ zero performances where I think he had like 1 assist total. But those same people are like Johnny sucks when he doesn't get many chances but admittedly is injured often
@StanUsmnt Exactly every single spot matters. And this is the expanded WC. More games potentially to be played. That midfield is going to be our undoing with that lack of depth. We saw Shaq Moore the supposed 5th place RB play meaningful minutes and was terrible in 2022.
@raccoonjesus24 Luc's "vision" was to assemble the highest floor / lowest ceiling team. Congrats, he accomplished it. First round exit is the ceiling, 5 straight times. Meanwhile, the Ducks drafted, developed, signed, and hired better and immediately leapfrogged us in a single playoffs.
@raccoonjesus24@JWPatarino@NHLRussell And let's not forget that Hiller refused to play his puck movers. This is the archetype of defenseman that he wanted. The fact that he played Gavrikov the 4th highest of TOI during the playoffs last season was a complete travesty after the regular season that he had.
