Since leaving Clemson, Bostic has received about post-graduate recognition possible, having been named to the ACC's 50th Anniversary Team, Clemson's Centennial Team, the Clemson Athletic Hall of Fame, North & South Carolina Athletic Hall of Fame, and the ACC's 2018 Legends class.

In his final game, the 1978 Gator Bowl, Clemson met Ohio State for the first time. Bostic had a great game, earning All-Bowl Team recognition. He provided a lead block for Cliff Austin to go over the top for a score that would give Clemson their first bowl win since 1959.
