I get not making linux a priority, but are we gonna lose season 1+ cuz of this or will we get it working right after the game is out in early access? I get not having a large section of the playerbase, but feels kinda sad if I aint gonna be able to grind for the "I was here" cosmetics I was really hyped about going after

I mean, managed to get that step to work, landed in the same error on the launcher calling the exe of the game, seems like a small setup issue they were having than the actual anti-cheat being broken, doing the manual install(issue was that proton doesn't deal well with some windows path resolution stuff to install elytra) it went through fine, but landed in a similar issue downstream that I can't manually overwrite

I mean, they are having issues setting it up, did some debug and that fix I managed to fix this one, followed by the same error on the launcher calling the exe, it's just likely they are struggling with path resolution compatibility between proton/linux, elytra, and the launcher, the anticheat works on linux, likely their setup is just not 100% set up in the proper way cuz they had no time to fix this

I mean, seems like a small issue on path resolution on elytra side, likely just need a small fallback or something and they can fix it, you can check my other reply, did some debugging to figure out exactly the cause, managed even to skip this error my manually setting up the elytra install from the official source, problem is that now the launcher does the same path call to the game exe giving me this error now

dug into the anticheat error: elytra insists on opening its module files through volume GUID paths (\?\Volume{...}...) and wine/proton just can't resolve those, so the service throws "file not found" while the file is literally sitting right there on disk. nothing wrong with the install, the anticheat just assumes windows-only path tricks. hope the devs can add a fallback, the game deserves a linux shot
