@HockleyTyson welcome to the reality of Canada - I saw this coming in 2014 and got out by 2019. Plan - execute - move - cut all connections. Be relentless. Own nothing in Canada to not have any exit taxes due. Best decision I ever made.
How to break Canada? Literally offer Canadians citizens born in Canada 1963-2005 the ability to get a new class of visa - call it the Maple Leaf Visa which can become a green card/citizenship. Family members not included on the visa. The country would immediately drain of its population of makers and leave a population of takers for its socialist utopian dreams.
This is a really gross oversimplification don't you think? Some of us (with LONG historical family ties in Canada) have multiple citizenships by blood. Even closer in, a majority of Canadians by birth in Canada have second (or third) citizenships by blood which would likely disqualify nearly ALL Canadians from serving in Parliament. Given the courts stance on consistency in citizenship your idea would never fly (hence the reason for C-3). There are no citizenship tiers. However, there is a solution - to become a naturalized citizen you have to renounce all other citizenships and provide proof of such. That might work and solves the math for what you'd suggest
@ryanweather A decision made at the dawn of aviation to locate weather stations in open fields with lots of grass in rural areas echos to today - without the grass or rural setting. W/concrete and dvlpmnt around airports intensifying it is inevetiable that heat island effect is skewing data
A partner at a prominent law firm told me โAI is now doing work that used to be done by 1st to 3rd year associates. AI can generate a motion in an hour that might take an associate a week. And the work is better. Someone should tell the folks applying to law school right now.โ
@MikeMcKenzie11 Mike pass on my congratulations to your dad for me (itโd get lost in his feed, Iโm but a peon lol). His dedication, professionalism and commitment to his craft inspired me in my own career. It feels just like it was yesterday for his 50th birthday.
@GuntherEagleman So youโd deny the rights of those with legal permanent residency (e.g. Resident Alien Status) childrenโs citizenship? I get it for non-resident aliens (visitor visas, refugee, temporary worker, etc) who have no legal permanent rights to be living here.
@cafreeland@liberal_party Wow this was "committed" years ago by your former boss and its a been a farce even since then. Trying to redefine "spending" to cover the actual atrocious lack of commitment to NATO partners. You may as well be promising to fart fairy dust by 2030. It is more likely to happen
@MeghanEMurphy Remember they donโt validate eligibility to vote in these polls. This is a reflection of the mass populace not voters, per se. I actually wonder what % of the population are eligible voters vs the total population.
Canada. Those who can, leave. Those who remain are burdened by perpetual slavery of socialism - the legacy of Trudeau. The "high earners" that leave Canada are being replaced by a immigration driven, low-income, state-dependent worker class that is easily manipulated by those in power. https://t.co/hpNSyCGF2G
