it’s easy to see this and start dooming if you’re a developer and competition is something you care about but you’ve gotta remember only about 10 games across this whole list are actual playable video games anyways
@FNbunchonumbers because in this specific case i find peoples' reactions to the mechanic and their perceptions of the developers' intentions surrounding the mechanic way more interesting than the mechanic itself, which seems neat and like something i can safely ignore when the game releases
given Yacht Club’s track record i’m inclined to believe Mina is probably a perfectly good game without major balance issues but i can understand why people would interpret the devs sticking their neck out this far to appease everyone as a lack of confidence in their own game

@Super_Scoopy i think it's fair to imply that a special amount of effort was devoted to this feature given the first four seconds of the video we're talking about say "THE BIGGEST ASSIST MODE EVER" in giant text and they list several *hundred* of these things but idk anything about game dev
that said arguing about it this much is pointless until it actually comes out and everyone can see for themselves if the game is competent enough without any modifiers!! and i’ve got no real reason to assume Yacht Club would fumble in that department
@KnightlyPhantom i think it's got potential to be, and probably actually is, a cool feature. i'm just saying that i understand the skepticism some people have about conceding this much to the player
