Boys who follow Tate score higher on traditional masculinity beliefs (emotional stoicism, toughness, dominance, anti-femininity), even after controlling for parental messages and how masculine they already see themselves.

Parental emphasis on being “big and tough” was the strongest predictor overall. Only about 9% named a manosphere figure as a favorite celebrity. Followers weren’t more depressed, hostile, or socially isolated than other boys.
