the biggest voter turnout in a generation was a by election when Glen Murray resigned as mayor (don’t forget that he quit this job he now wants so badly). I don’t know if this says something about his time as mayor or if we should separate mayoral from council elections.

@StefanJonasson I've addressed a number of these questions in person and over the phone as well. Unfortunately there are a whole lot of our neighbours that watch tucker carlson and swallow the horsecrap he feeds his viewers. This one was facebook, seemed like a real person.
Unfortunately I’ve had more questions from voters about CRT and the rights of the unvaccinated than questions about actual policy and qualifications. It’d be easier to ignore them but not standing up to this ignorance is going to lead to more problems down the road.
@brndpete Nah, I’m a single issue voter in federal elections. But my issue is the biggest issue facing humanity since the dawn of civilization, not made us wedge issues.
This is a REAL solution to a genuine problem in our city. my street loses dozens a trees a year and few have been replaced. Public services are essential but sometimes there are better ways of offering them through the non-profit sector.
While developing our tree trust plan, I worked with an amazing group of Indigenous women from varying backgrounds (pictured below). They saw the ways we can protect our trees, create green jobs, and break down barriers to employment. Proud to work with such amazing leaders (1/2)
