Our strategic drive to revive collapsed water infrastructure across Kano State continues to yield massive results. At the Thomas Water Treatment Plant, a 2.4 MLD capacity facility designed to serve Makoda, Kunya, Danbatta, and intermediate villages, we are recording significant headway.

For over six years, this critical plant lay completely abandoned, crippled by severe electromechanical failures, vandalized power equipment, and catastrophic pipeline leakages. Today, comprehensive rehabilitation works are nearing completion, and we expect to initiate full trial testing very shortly, in shaa Allah.

This statewide momentum extends to the Joda, Guzu-guzu, Magaga, and Faɗa regional water schemes, which are also in their final stages. It is a clear testament to the unwavering commitment of His Excellency, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, towards permanently eradicating water scarcity in Kano.
