@Masterflip_ Really? What makes you think so? The minor league teams are filled with underperforming pitchers and hitting. They have losing records. There is no positive organizational culture. Most importantly, they are lead by an executive who has never won ANYTHING.
@NYNJHarper Mendoza isn’t even number 5 on the problem list. He didn’t construct the roster. He didn’t draft underperforming minor leaguers. He didn’t decide to pay Manaea, take on Semien’s contract, and let 3 home grown players go.
@bobcat19860@InMetsWeTrust Craig Swan had a career ERA of 3.74 including leading the NL with a 2.43 in 1978. Zachary had a career 3.52, rookie of the year in ‘76, all star in ‘78. Apodaca was a reliever. They were better by a mile.
@NYNJHarper The offense has never been the problem. When the starting pitching constantly has them playing from behind, the offense presses and fails. This is not a serious starting rotation. This management is punting the season away by not forcefully addressing the fact.
