@wagslane Go, Odin, V all fit this criteria. “Simple” is a bit broad (ie: simple syntax, or broader, therefore simpler semantics?)
In terms of speed, I believe Odin wins this category, but haven’t checked benchmarks in a while. V continues to be interesting (and quite fast)
@ptrschmdtnlsn I really appreciate the point about monomorphization. Logically, I have just considered these generic Fn constraints as simply function pointers, and didn’t really consider that each anonymous fn is a unique type… yikes
@cmuratori I like tagged unions, pure virtual types, and strong meta programming features. Does this mean I love Hybrid Object Engineering Specialization?
Every time I read the term "fearless concurrency" in language docs, I feel like my soul leaves my body. "Cautiously optimistic concurrency" please, doc writers.
This ACC broadcast of the Clemson Virginia Tech basketball game is something special. Commentator has referred to Clemson as the “Clemson Tide” 3 times, the video quality is trash, and the audio is popping.
@fasterthanlime Ah yes, the true evolution of a software engineer. The subtle nudge from the burning passion, only to be overruled by years of experience professionally. 🫠
