@greg16676935420 Created french fries, theorized the big bang, invented plastic, created the standard accepted mercator projection map, invented asphalt roads, created the smurfs and tintin, location of the battles of Waterloo, bastogne, and the bulge, and eliminated US mens national team again.
@SportsF4natic55@TopTierPucks And Leo had 41 points (17g/24a) with +11 in 33 games before he had the freak thigh muscle delamination injury. That was a 101 point pace. Leo did not play with elite talent. His linemates were often Chris Kreider or Alex Killorn. Terry had his best season playing with Leo.
@DonkeyInferno@anacalling_fhf Ducks have the wealthiest owner in the NHL, and he has added approximately $30 billion in the pasty handful of years. He doesn't need the cash. He needs the cap space after years of penny pinching the team roster.
@CoolRunnings2X@anacalling_fhf Flyers brought Gauthier's exit on themselves by jerking him around, so he applied his leverage. Philadelphia has such a pathetic victim complex.
If you don't want to be treated like a prick, don't be a prick. Verbeek is hopefully learning that lesson. Phil needs the same lesson.
@mattjosephperry@Danthem73751171@nazzobetweeting Weird year choice. I live in that 1959 50th state... But Hawai‘i was annexed in 1898. USVI & NMI are far more recent than HI.
If only counting when territories that became the core were gained/lost, even the UK is a 1922 creation.
I generally stick to consistent constitution.
@WildWingNHL Option 3: Sign Marcus Johansson back out of the SHL for one year / $3M to be the C2 the Ducks need. Johansson's agent coincidentally represents 2027 Flyers RFA Matvei Michkov. During negotiations w/ Johansson, convey Ducks guarantee Michkov a higher payday than Leo. #FlyTogether
@_SepseveN_@MinorMidgetGTHL@puckempire@FriedgeHNIC Flyers are projected for $43.2M cap next year (25.2M w/ Leo). Ducks are projected for $47.2M, INCLUDING Leo ($65.2M if gone). You think Anaheim's creepy GM and the NHL's richest owner (with white collar convictions) aren't already plotting revenge? #FlyTogether#CrashTogether
@_SepseveN_@MinorMidgetGTHL@puckempire@FriedgeHNIC You are expected to have less cap space than the Ducks had to start this free agency. And that ignores Carlsson, Zegras, and Drysdale. If you only keep Carlsson or those 3, Briere is already over the barrel as soon as Michkov comes to the table next year.
@Felix_Sicard Not hijacked.
Delegated.
Verbeek didn't have the brain and guts to sign the appropriate deal, so he delegated the decision making to anyone else to make the choice. This is all on him.
@SonataAway@NathanGraviteh Learn puck. Nick Jensen is the team's 5th/6th best defender, but possibly 2nd/3rd best RHD. At best, Nikishin would compete with Mintyukov to split the Ducks LHD2 and LHD3 duties. Ducks can't afford to pay Nikishin's ask for third line at the position.
@SonataAway@xohurricane_@NathanGraviteh 1) KHL isn't close to NHL (top KHL past 2 seasons were AHL washouts).
2) Nikishin was never the best player in the KHL. Even Nikishin's final khl year, he was way behind Ducks prospect Galimov (who was 2!d in goals & led KHL in +/-), whom Ducks haven't even bothered to ELC.
