@freinicke I really like the color palette here, it feels vibrant and cheerful. If I'm alright to ask, how do you choose your colors?
I've tried the Resurrect 64 palette from Lospec recently and it really didn't work for some of the art I tried drawing to practice.
@freinicke Reading this just made me realize how much time I've wasted bouncing between engines and frameworks and not actually making a proper project ;-;
Now I really want to make something just to play it with my controller...
@Lindendragonx@WardenSoulStar@NoLongerHaibane I feel like most people and even animals know how to do this as well, I've seen many cats do the same trick, as well as other animals. It's not surprising that a child would do so too.
It's 100% NOT specific to autism though, this "expert" is genuinely disgusting.
@be3zy_b I would love to know why they thought these were good noises for cave exploration ngl, they're literally subtitled as eerie noises and sound like something straight outta hell.
@jeepersdotnet@be3zy_b (re-posted bc I have no way to edit)
Ah, I see, seems like I've been getting that wrong the whole time lol
Either way, there's just something about the old textures that makes them easier to deal with as someone with poor eyesight.
The new ones lose information for me a lot.
@jeepersdotnet@be3zy_b It really is amazing just how much they managed to do with that tbh, I miss the old textures sometimes ngl, they feel less blurry to me than the new ones and there are less colors in a lot of them, so it's also much clearer to me.
@be3zy_b How does one get this good at building?
I've tried but I always struggle with the exterior shape and making it actually look like something other than a huge cube.
@tobersp2010@be3zy_b Not going to lie, this reminds me so much of large-scale legacy console builds and I mean that in the best way possible, I love it.
I'm not a huge fan of checkerboard patterns but there's something about the way MC renders them that makes them bearable for me.
@gr8writingtips Alternatively, try being awake for far too long then getting randomly struck by a bolt of inspiration, only to realize you formed 1/4th of a good idea and now you've got nothing.
@szspagna@Wassimulator Linux support genuinely can't come soon enough for things like that. Windows is so painfully unstable these days, and Microslop's (almost certainly) vibe coded updates are just breaking it randomly for literally no reason.
I saw an update once that just outright broke Notepad.
This isn't about "someone else" taking the place of a creative. It's about a corporation taking the place of thousands of creatives.
By processing billions of example of finished media, a few corporations have engineered software that can generate output. The generated output mimics the media used in the engineering.
Instead of involving human creatives and problem solvers in ongoing ventures - companies with money to spend can simply pay those corporations to access that software.
The same creatives who initially made the media used by the corporations to develop the software are now displaced as new projects and ventures are initiated.
I hope this clarifies the difference between AI generative software offered by a corporation and a dude with a chainsaw replacing a dude with an axe.
Note - by "media" we're referring to everything that can be seen or heard. Not just pictures, music and videos, but also blueprints, recipes, code, etc. Yes, we consider coders and engineers to be creative problem solvers.
@CraftyMasterman@eevesteroo@xisumavoid I thought it looked suspiciously uncanny when I saw it, I'm guessing Twitter marked it as AI-generated automatically.
