It just doesn’t produce a quality material. Appalachia is our main source for oak and they quality material, have been4yrs

@TurdMegurg @rachbarnhart It takes over 20yrs to produce cork from a tree and the cork oaks grown here because of growing climate don’t produce quality cork. This attempt was made in the 40’s and they got unsatisfactory results from farming it here.
