Honestly feeling gutted right now that my friends in Gaza that are peace activists and have been so brave and worked so hard to get momentum for protests against Hamas tmrw might be successfully silenced

Its absolutely nowhere in the news what is happening even though Gazans have posted about it a bajillion times

Gazans want a large protest tomorrow June 26 but Hamas has spent the past week arresting the organizers and people that post about it on social media

And intimidating the rest…

My close friend that is just a normal worker but is occasionally vocal about wanting peace got arrested in nice and then a phone call threatening him if he protests tomorrow

I guarantee you the UN and human rights organizations damn well know what is happening and they aren’t saying one word

How will the world ever hear the true voice of Gazans if Hamas continues to silence them and the UN and human rights organizations do not try to help them???

The thing I really can’t understand about antisemitism today is how so many people either don’t see it or pretend not to see it. The mayor of the most Jewish city in the country, a city that was once derogatorily called “hymietown,” now declares he will boycott the Israel day parade and posts about the so-called Nakba even as people harass Jews at their synagogues and schools in his city, and people act like this is totally normal.

While the NYT is busy posting depraved falsehoods about Israelis — I'm thinking about Miss. Arbel Yehoud, who was kidnapped from Israel by Palestinians on October 7th.

For 482 days, Arbel was sexually abused "almost every day" in Gazan captivity.

“I tried to take my life several times. I felt that I couldn’t go on,” Yehoud told Israel Hayoum news.

"There were moments I thought it was the only way out," she said, clarifying that she attempted suicide 3 times.

The abuse — she stressed to the news outlet — was "not a one-time incident but an almost daily reality throughout her 482 days in captivity."

She says in the following video she only spoke out about it publicly after she saw fellow former hostage Romi Gonen speak publicly about her traumas.

"I think the change [of wanting to speak out] happened to me after our beloved Romi appeared on the news. I had kept it buried until then."
