Not so bold prediction: @usahockey will win the 2024 World Cup of Hockey AND they will win the gold medal at the 2026 Winter Olympics. 🥇 🏒 Cc: @leaveit_2bEaVR
I am reading @stoolpresidente’s new book called “Cancel Me If You Can.” On Page 9, he references the Church of Ladderdy Sakes.” This is going to be awesome. Vintage Dave.
@DennisYu4life@nhl_review And we’re only up there with the likes of the other top teams in the conference if we get Carlsson and somehow sign Zegras and Drysdale. Plus we need Vladar to play like he did last year. He is still not a proven commodity. (2/2)
@DennisYu4life@nhl_review Let me preface this by saying I’m a die hard Flyers fan. Yes there is a HUGE distance between us and the Hurricanes. Same with the Panthers. With Carlsson we’re up there with the Sabres/Lightning/Habs/Leafs. The Hurricanes made Vegas (who dominated the Avs) look bad. (1/2)
@nhl_review You have almost 10k followers on a hockey page. You should know this. But I’ll break it down nice and slow for you. 1) Leo Carlsson’s do not grow on trees. 2) he plays one of the most coveted positions in the sport. 3) he’s 21. He has 15 years left.
@Duckshockey101@billmeltzer The only moron here is Verbeek. Don’t blame Briere. Look internally. Why is Verbeek letting his franchise center get to July 1? Not only that, his franchise winger AND his most promising young D-man. Did he not learn anything from McTavish?
@jpash89@billmeltzer Couple things. 1) That would be wild. But 2) cutter would never sign it as others said. He would have other suitors. But most importantly 3) he’s not eligible to sign an offer sheet. I think he hasn’t played enough games.
@billmeltzer Way north of $28M. That’s about what it would/should have been before the offer sheet. I would have thought $12-13M AAV each. But $14M would not have been out of the question. No doubt Cutter > $10M. They have to hope that he values term. If I’m him I’d want an AM34 type deal
@Yannic44@FlyersNation Exactly. And didn’t Verbeek say he would have taken Leo over Bedard in the draft if it came down to it. And now he doesn’t lock up his guy? So weird.
@GhostGlock@FlyersNation Starting to sound like a Ducks fan Ghost Glock! This is something they’d say, right after they say they should offer sheet Martone
@Jacobpage08@hammer1759@BrockTurdy13@FlyersNation It’s not that we hate the Ducks. We hate Cutter. He plays for the Ducks. We love Zegras, who now hates the Ducks. Drysdale also doesn’t have anything nice to say about the Ducks. So therefore the hate bleeds into the team. Is that enough logic for you?
Starting to get why Cutter wanted out of Philly & to play in a place like Anaheim. His soft nature demands a spot that allows him to go unchecked. I’ve learned there is no place better for that than the Mickey Mouse franchise. The fan base clearly doesn’t understand the sport.
