How anyone can argue this isn’t a red is beyond me. It doesn’t matter if he wins the ball, he’s out of control, high and endangering his opponent. 100% he doesn’t intend to injure RAN but it’s clumsy and the right decision was eventually made!

After this tackle, Ait-Nouri spent the rest of the game being booed when reality he’s fortunate to have avoided a very serious injury.

I don’t think it’s intentional, but it’s a horrible tackle which is 100% a red card.

Why do referees not give penalties for all this pushing in the penalty area… Agbadou literally has Cucurella and Jackson trying to wrestle him at every set piece. I haven’t watched our defending of set pieces forensically in the first half but ref’s need to stamp it out! #MNF

Whatever you think of GON, the officiating has been a joke tonight. Two penalties not given, one stonewall and one you’ve seen given, Emerson committing two fouls, both yellow cards but no second yellow and a foul for West Ham’s second in the build up… @FA_PGMOL USELESS!

@molineuxmusings Completely agree, I was really surprised to hear all three say it wasn’t a foul! Semedo gets into a good position to shield the ball prior to clearing. He’s then barged into preventing him from said clearance… it’s a no brainer for me and the right decision was made IMO!
