@_EzeEnthusiast He was a passenger in many of those games though. Rice and Zubi just papered over the cracks. He’s capitalized on moments where he was offered space but he can’t control games or dictate pace, help us in build up. He played off to the left at Palace. He needs to do the same here
You have to find some perspective here. Only 2 losses in 18 games. Injuries everywhere. Hardest fixtures. Yet still top of the league.
It’s a long season and we’re going to recover some top, top players.
I’m not going to cry over going from 1st to 1st.
Enjoy your weekend man.
@fkhanage Correct. We didnt deserve to tie tbf though. We need to stay positive, regardless. It’s impossible to maintain top form with both CBs out and no rest, away from home. Regardless, almost all our hard away games gone and we’re still in first.
@George_Zur Now is the time to be relatively positive in outlook. The criticism we save for when we right the ship. Theres nothing wrong with the team (though Gyokeres should’ve started today). We just can’t cope without both our CBs. It hurts us defensively and we have no set piece threat.
This is Susie Cheney & Eva Elmer that work at H&R Block in Provo,Utah and they stole the addresses and EITN numbers of their immigrant customers and sent it to ICE for a reward which they used to go on a expensive cruise! I’m not sure if they lost their job yet,but they need too
@CleverMonsterCT@GoofyWise Alternatively, if you’re an Afro-pessimist (i.e. if you see race/blackness as some kind of ontological category that cannot be captured by class) it would be better to just say that up front, otherwise you’re just talking past people
@CleverMonsterCT@GoofyWise Based on what youre saying tho you dont seem to understand those limits. Perhaps youre trolling or engagement farming, but the points of CLR James/Dubois/Cedric Robinson are not limits to class analysis, they instead situate black ppl as central to struggles against capitalism
This is legitimately the toughest tweet I’ve had to send in a while..
When I first started at The Ringer in 2020, I knew I’d found home. The space to create, the utilization of my interests and skills, the bonds, the friends, all of it was perfect.
From shows with Jemele Hill, to getting paired with Rachel, to forming a lifelong friendship with the Midnight Boys, it’s been perfect.
That’s why it really hurts to announce what I have to right now…
The Ringer is hating on Austin Reaves.
Reaves went crazy again tonight, busting ass like his name was Darius Johnson Jr, and I bet we won’t hear a peep from @BillSimmons, @ZachLowe_NBA, @RobMahoney, @jkylemann or any of my other @ringernba peeps.
If he played for the Celtics, we’d get an entire treatise about how he has the killer instinct of Whitey Bulger, the handles of Cousy, and looks like a true American from Brookline, MA.
But because he’s a Laker, he’s treated like “Sinners” on an Outkick top 20 films of 2025 list … not mentioned.
I hope in the coming year my beloved company learns to appreciate Basketball of all colors … including Purple & Gold.
Tonight Reaves scored 44. I beg of you guys to remember that man that wore 42, and what discrimination has do to a society.
Do better.
@ianbremmer@ErikSperling@DimitriosG25472@davidmagalhaes I think youre missing the point of the comment re. Saudi Arabia. There are many countries (like Egypt for instance) with unpopular ruthless dictators where the US has zero interest in regime change. So Maduro’s democratic credentials is a red herring, its irrelevant
@ArsenalN10 It’s fine for Timber to go for it, but to not even put that remotely on target is not acceptable. But let’s be real, if that had gone in, we wouldn’t have deserved the win. We were so far below our level today
@George_Zur Exact same thing happened last season at the bridge with Trossard and Havertz. End of the day, can’t be mad about not winning this game. We were reliant on this last minute chance because we didn’t play anywhere near well enough over the 90min
@IlyasNoreaga Lots of performances will go under the radar here, but Martinelli, Eze, and I’ll even add Madueke really offered nothing. Saka and Zubi were poor but they’ve been good this season. Other players have to step up.
