the dreams in which i'm dying are the best i've ever had i find it hard to tell you i find it hard to take when people run in circles its a very very mad world
Honored to have served as Task Force Coordinator for the 2025 ESC/EACTS Valvular Heart Disease Guidelines, released today at #ESCCongress! A true learning journey with an amazing team. 🌍🫀

Our surgical team successfully used ICG fluorescence imaging to visualize an intramural LAD during a challenging robotic CABG. Intramural coronary arteries can pose significant difficulties in localization for optimal graft placement.
Administering ICG and utilizing fluorescence imaging allowed clear real-time delineation of the entire intramural LAD course, providing critical information for precise surgical planning.
The procedure was completed entirely robotically, avoiding conversion to a more invasive open approach. The patient experienced an uneventful recovery, highlighting the potential benefits of this technique.
Our literature review suggests this application of ICG fluorescence for identifying intramural coronaries during robotic CABG is a promising new approach, with the potential to enhance precision, safety, and patient outcomes.
Case report to come...

👉 Based on a regional registry evidence, CABG appears superior to PCI for the treatment of LM stenosis over time, without being associated with higher short-term mortality.

Notion does not compare TAVI vs. SAVR.
It compares on of the best available TAVI valves with a combined cohort of SAVR valves (>30% Trifecta/MitroFlo, out of the market, poor quality valves) and definition of SVD based on a fixed gradient (>40% SAVR valves size <21mm).
