ANC KZN HAILS N3 HIGHWAY UPGRADE AS A VICTORY FOR SERVICE DELIVERY
The African National Congress (ANC) in KwaZulu-Natal has hailed the successful completion and reopening of new additional lanes of the N3 between Ashburton and Cato Ridge as a clear demonstration of the ANC-led government’s
ability to deliver on its promises.
The completion of the new lanes, which is part of the capacity improvement of the N3/N2 marks a paradigm shift in delivering world class infrastructure and positioning KwaZulu-Natal as a strategic logistics and economic hub.
With over R8 billion invested in the three packages completed, the ANC prides itself that over R2 billion was spent on emerging African contractors, thousands of jobs were created and many young people received training. The ANC
extended gratitude to motorists and communities for their patience during the four-year construction period, and their cooperation has been key to this achievement.
With more packages still underway, the ANC commends the South African National Roads Agency SOC (LTD), working with the Provincial Department of Transport and key community structures to continue driving the transformation agenda, using the catalytic infrastructure projects.
