Today the President Mahama speaks at the 81st UN GENERAL ASSEMBLY
I shared my expectations here a day ago; I’m looking at the President touching on the Accra reset agenda.
It’s been more than a year since Ghana championed a Historic UN Vote Declaring Slave Trade the Gravest Crime Against Humanity. President Mahama and the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Honourable Okudzeto are pushing for the remains of African leaders across the world to be returned to their homes. Over 2,000 artefacts taken years ago from Ghana will be returned. Ghana will be building a museum to keep these artefacts, a place where Blacks all over the world can come to know about their history, know the gravity of the Slave Trade and have a sense of belonging.
Today will be historic.
The sanctity of our legal premises is fading. Bloggers of all kinds now gather at court grounds, shoving cameras and microphones into the faces of lawyers and defendants. The Judicial Service may need to consider regulating media activity... - Awisi Dede (Journalist/Law Student)
