Our Gulf High NJROTC Brain Brawl teams scored a first on Saturday. Both teams made it to the Final Four out of 24 teams at Dunedin HS NJROTC Brain Brawl. They finished 3rd and 4th and qualified for the State Championship. Way to go BUCS! ⁦@gulfhighschool⁩

Held our annual summer camp for incoming freshmen Monday and Tuesday. If these 18 new cadets are any indication of the rest of the cadets entering our program we should have an outstanding year. ⁦@gulfhighschool⁩

This morning Cadets Forte and Phan graduated from Leadership Academy at Admiral Farragut in St Petersburg. They survived a week of grueling PT in the hot Florida sun and numerous leadership activities to hone their skills. Way to go BUCS! ⁦@gulfhighschool⁩

The cadets at Gulf High placed flags on the graves of veterans at Meadowlawn cemetery in preparation for their Memorial Day cemetery. 2 cadets helped an elderly lady find a grave she was looking for. Way to go BUCS! ⁦@gulfhighschool⁩

The Gulf NJROTC Academic teams competed at the Brain Brawl State Championships today. Team 1 came in a respectable 8th place out of 32 teams. The competition was very tough since it was the championships. Way to go BUCS! ⁦@gulfhighschool⁩

Congratulations to the Gulf High NJROTC cadets who competed in their 1st drill meet of the year at Spoto HS in Riverview, FL. The cadets place 1st in Color Guard, 2nd in Academics, and 3rd in sit-ups and push-ups. Way to go BUCS! ⁦@gulfhighschool⁩

After a long day at Central High School’s Iron Bear Challenge, the cadets of Gulf High School finished in 3rd place out of 22 teams. They placed in the top 4 in 6 of 11 events. Way to go BUCS! ⁦@gulfhighschool⁩

Cadets Luz Martin and William Beaty graduated from Leadership Academy today. Cadet Beaty was the Honor Cadet for his Company with a 99% academic average while Cadet Martin won her Company’s Brain Brawl. Way to go BUCS! ⁦@gulfhighschool⁩

32 GHS NJROTC cadets spent the afternoon today at MacDill AFB watching the Blue Angels practice for the Air Show this weekend and posed with the pilots afterward. Go BUCS! ⁦@gulfhighschool⁩

The Gulf NJROTC cadets went Orienteering today at Fort Desoto. They braved strong winds, chilly weather, and soggy conditions but still had a great time and no one got lost.
