The twitter feed will be under new management next week. It's been a blast, from Investor's in People, to CQC outstanding to working with our PCN colleagues delivering 000's of covid vaccines. Go team Hobs Moat
Today we were aiming to deliver 350 1st Covid vaccines to our patients, we say aiming cos at the end of the day, we had 51 no shows, we despair, the amount of work that goes into organising all wasted. If you cant keep an appt, please cancel it in good time.
We think the computer equipment on the desk gives the age of this photograph away, it’s of our senior partner, who is a bit older than he was then! He retires in a few days from the NHS, all of us at the practice wish him well, he will be greatly missed
Can we believe that this was 12 months ago? Due to extraordinary efforts of staff and our fabulous patients we have managed to keep going and keep safe. Flus more than we have ever given, done outside and 2500 covid jabs done and counting. We just need to keep it up a bit longer
Coronavirus, let’s not panic, but we need to keep everyone safe and healthy , you and us, so no more queuing at the door please before we open, ring us and we will help you. This means all patients will be screened before sitting in waiting room.
There we are then, empty box. It had 195 little vials of vaccine, which, along with our colleagues, we have safely injected into 1175 arms, not one drop was wasted and done in a day and a half which for the smallest pcn in Solihull is some going, thanks to all our helpers!
Notification today of more covid vaccinations heading our way, the little boxes of hope are coming now thick and fast, be ready for your invite, watch for text or phone call. Kick off with 1100+ next Friday at Richmond Rd. Clinic all booked, see you there!
Our lovely team of nurses being royally treated for Valentine's Day by the marvellous Dan from @solihullrt . We have been working together along with our network colleagues giving covid vaccinations so a nice little break before we start again next week. Thank you

@EddieShoesmith https://t.co/Povoi9g5O6 have any ideas that might help? We dont usually gave time to write, phoning takes a long time, we have 000's of patients to ring, they dont answer phones, we dont send a link in the text, what else do you suggest we can do, ideas welcome
Sometimes it's not about leveraging technology, but using simple stuff to get the job done, well and quickly. Ready to change the details as we gear up to deliver more vaccine next week!
Great to see acknowledgement of our fabulous clinical pharmacist who works with us on Fridays bringing a range of complimentary skills to support our GP team, could he help you next?

@EddieShoesmith Have you ever had a reminder for an appointment? If not, our texts come stamped with the surgery details but if you ever unsure, you can always ring us to check, not a problem.
@EddieShoesmith We try to match method of contact to the cohort of patients we are calling and the amount of time in advance we know we are having a delivery. If we text, we use the same system we have been using for years so it’s recognisable as coming from us.
