Governor Dan Evans, Eagle Scout and long term Camp Parsons staff member died today. He was a great man and a friend to Scouting and Camp Parsons. He will be missed.

As I celebrate our nation today I also mourn the loss of my close and dear friend Ed Dayton who passed away 14 years ago this day due to a senseless accident. I continue to miss him and our friendship, he was a great man.

I read the book a few years ago but just saw “Boys in the Boat” and it was good…though the accolades I have heard from my friends have to be due to the fact that it is Husky Pure…they even sung the fight song..Go Dawgs!

13 years ago on this day I lost a close friend and fellow staff member to a senseless accident. Renwick “Ed” Dayton was a great man and a great friend. I continue to miss him dearly but happy with the little time we spent together.
