So they split the group in half, and they asked all of them about their activity level. All of them if not most said that they are not very active, as in, they don't exercise, not being aware that their daily work pretty much counts as exercise, and it's not even light exercise+

They did send a 1099c which is taxable but my CPA handled it and there was no taxes to pay. Glad this ordeal is over. Now I can finally mourn my mom and continue with life.

Well it’s official I am done with my moms probate/estate shit. Like done done. House has been transferred to me. Estate taxes done. Didn’t have to pay on her written off credit card. Only paid the CPA $500 to file what needed to be filed.

Navigate probate and keep your inheritance (in my case a paid off house). My mom died with 40 grand credit card debt. None of the companies tried to get payment from the estate. By the time one did the creditor claim period was over so they were out of time.

@NasheCeezet_zw I have recently gone this but my brother was fine everything being left to me. I was my parents caretaker. I put my life on hold to care for them. I slowed down at work and life in general to take care of them. Being a caretaker isn’t easy.

@rushicrypto Going through this now. Credit card company wrote off loan but now estate has 1099c that estate has to pay taxes on loan amount. IRS says it was income. Only asset was paid off house. Working with CPA to reduce taxes and keep the house. My CPA said it’s simple to reduce taxes

Was able to save my mom’s landline phone number. My folks had that number decades. I’ll eventually port it to a cell but for now it will sit on a number storage site. Her landline officially canceled.

Well lawyer called that’s handling my mom’s probate. Only 1 creditors claim. Just a hospital. Sent payment off today. None of her credit cards filed anything. And that made me so incredibly happy. I still can’t believe it. So hopefully in a month this will be officially done.
