Recent events in Ceuta have been accompanied by false claims, disinformation and political narratives that distort both the facts and the legal framework.

As PES President Stefan Löfven says:
"When misinformation replaces facts, extremists win. The debate must be based on truth, not fear. Real leadership means providing solutions, not amplifying false narratives."

Europe must respond to migration with responsibility, cooperation and respect for the rule of law, while dismantling the criminal networks exploiting vulnerable people.
