Oh, that we would learn to govern ourselves.
Luke 12: 49 ¶ I am come to put fire on the earth, and what is my desire, if it be already kindled?
50 Notwithstanding I must be baptized with a baptism, and how am I grieved till it be ended?
51 Think ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, nay, but rather debate.
52 For from henceforth there shall be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three.
53 The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against the father: the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother: the mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law, and the daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.
54 ¶ ,Then said he to the people, When ye see a cloud rise out of the West, straightway ye say, A shower cometh: and so it is.
55 And when ye see the South wind blow, ye say, that it will be hot: and it cometh to pass.
56 Hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the earth, and of the sky: but why discern ye not this time?
57 Yea, and why judge ye not of yourselves what is right?
@PapiTrumpo@LiveFreeOrDieF3 How does one remove common sense? Maybe turn it over to groups that makes laws and judges them in courts that require proof.
@davidjsorensen Wonder why the words of Christ are selectively taught. Never heard a sermon about Christ saying he is standing at the door knocking waiting to be let in to sup with each of us. Yet we keep waiting for Him to return.
@idropFbombs Do you think it could be possible when a human dies that they could be presented with a false light with ancestors welcoming them as a means of deception?
In the Apocryphon of James (a Gnostic text from the Nag Hammadi Library), the statement that the "head of prophecy was cut off with John" carries a mystical and psychological meaning distinct from the canonical Bible.
The Meaning of the "Head" Being Cut Off
When James asks how he can prophesy to those requesting it, Jesus responds that the "head of prophecy" was removed with John the Baptist. The meaning unfolds in three key layers:
•End of External Mediation: In Gnostic thought, this signifies the end of reliance on external prophetic voices or intermediaries. Prophecy "issues from the head," representing a lower form of revelation where truth comes from outside the self. With John's death, this era of looking outward for divine authority ceased.
•Transition to Inner Knowledge (Gnosis): Jesus challenges James to understand what the "head" truly is. The removal of the head implies that believers must now move from receiving "parables" (external stories) to understanding "openly" (internal realization). Truth is no longer found in a prophet's oracle but in the direct, inner knowledge of the divine within.
•Psychological Maturation: The text suggests a shift from spiritual childhood (needing to be urged and led by prophets) to spiritual maturity. Jesus urges the disciples to "hasten to be saved without being urged" and to be eager "of your own accord." The "head" being cut off forces the disciple to become the source of their own spiritual perception rather than depending on a leader.
@Galfridus6EQUJ5@maximumpain333 Ever considered what you are seeing with the eyes of flesh is the reflection of an archonic reflection? Archons can only organize, not create.
@DanScavino@KAGdrogo Jesus the son of man who became the embodiment of Christ stayed in the shadows for 18 years I understand before he opened the door to Christ.
