One year ago this weekend, Donald Trump signed the One Big Beautiful Bill into law.
Since then, over 160,000 Pennsylvanians have lost healthcare coverage, dozens of rural hospitals are at risk of closure, and costs have skyrocketed for families across the Commonwealth.
When Donald Trump and Congressional Republicans passed that bill, they knew that hundreds of thousands of Pennsylvanians would be worse off — and they did it anyway.
Tomorrow, we celebrate the 250th anniversary of our nation’s independence from tyranny. At this crucial moment in our nation’s story, we can take inspiration from ordinary Americans like Margaret Cochran Corbin, who fought to advance the cause of freedom.
Take a few minutes today to hear her story:
Q: Are you afraid to be speaking out?
Jack Smith: No, not at all. I am not going to be intimidated. If the thought was to go after me so that I wouldn't speak up about the corruption that's happening or speak up to defend these agents and prosecutors, that is a grave miscalculation.
REP HUFFMAN: “The CEO of Trump’s Freedom 250 flew to Davos, stood in front of a room full of foreign governments and asked them ‘how they wanted to shape America’s birthday’. Then they stole hundreds of millions and committed wire fraud.”
Holy shit.
Florida’s affordability crisis is not unsolvable. It just requires leaders willing to act.
We can build more workforce and affordable housing, create a state catastrophic fund to lower homeowners insurance, and fight for fairness from investor-backed utilities.
The solutions are within reach. Florida just needs a governor willing to pursue them.
MTG: “Trump worked to stop the release of the Epstein files. The files are not released, and that is shocking. We're talking about elite rapists and pedophiles, and there's still no accountability and no justice for the victims."
There’s no excuse for covering for pedophiles.
Tonight, I gave Notice of Intent to bring forth a Privileged Resolution to force a vote on releasing the names of Congressmen who used taxpayer funds for sexual misconduct settlements.
The Speaker has two legislative days to consider the timing of the vote. Stay tuned.
CONGRATULATIONS TO DONALD ON HAVING THE SMALLEST CROWD IN RECORDED HISTORY. PEOPLE CALL ME EVERY DAY BEGGING TO KNOW HOW DOES HE GET SUCH PUNY CROWDS? IS IT BECAUSE HE'S BORING, OLD, STUPID, WHAT IS IT?!! I SAY IT'S ALL OF THE ABOVE BUT THERE'S SOMETHING ELSE. YOU MUST BE CONSISTENT. DONALD GETS SMALL CROWDS EVERY SINGLE DAY. RALLIES, SPEECHES, STATE FAIRS. HE NEVER RESTS. IT WOULD BE EASY TO SAY, OK TODAY I'LL HAVE A BIG CROWD. BUT NOT TRUMP. AND THAT'S WHAT MAKES HIM A TINY CROWD CHAMPION.
I wish people would stop spreading scurrilous rumours that President Trump is constantly shitting himself in public. After all, it’s perfectly normal to place a black mat underneath him when he visited the Fox News studio with its white sofa yesterday…
Inflation has overtaken wages for the first time in 3 years.
That means Americans’ incomes are shrinking in real terms, largely because of the Iran war.
