Today is a birthday of Tibor Radó (1895-1965), a Hungarian born American mathematician. He competed in the Eötvös (Hungarian maths) competitions as a young man, a tradition that was at the foundation of the founding of IMO (https://t.co/aPCNTzIAnE). Radó was a one-time winner of this competition, and had the first-hand experience of the nature of problems and what they should achieve:
