On a mission to discover and discuss hidden depths of the Sopranos and Many Saints of Newark. David Chase is the commendatori! Movies, Music, Golf, Catholicism
@peterdacreep@TheSopranosClub Nope… as a dream it’s fascinating. You have to fully invest in understanding it as a dream to get it. MSON was going to make money on back of Sopranos, so Chase made the film HE wanted… exploring Tony’s psyche one more time.
@TheSopranosClub Storyline? It’s all over the place… this is because like Sopranos finale, MSON is a hidden dream. Harold, Dicky and young Tony are all versions of Tony psyche in exist in Tony’s subconscious… MSON dream happens after Tony has killed Christopher
@glorenzW@tonyannett Well judged by Trump… he knew it wouldn’t offend Maga Catholics… who are so indoctrinated that they are more Maga than Catholic. He knew it would rile up Catholics who are genuinely mourning Pope Francis… they’re not HIS Catholics… a no brainer for Trump to post this…
@TheSopranosClub The finale is Tony’s dying dream, so in it we see Tony’s ideal vision of Meadow, who is of course sympathetic as this is Tony’s dream version of his daughter… see how easy it is to understand finale when you finally accept that it’s a dream?
@blackmambauk888@TheSopranosClub Heart attack. MIA is Tony’s dying dream. Heart attack symptoms and treatment hinted at in dream. Ps Valery ascends to heaven.
@GWillmer_Mktg @TheSopranosClub Heart attack. Death in Holstens and final episode Tony’s dying dream. Heart attack symptoms hinted at throughout dream.
@TheSopranosClub Tony actually falls asleep at end of Blue Comet and has a stress induced heart attack in his sleep… the heart attack symptoms and treatments to revive him are hinted at in his dream. Final episode is Tony’s dying dream. Holstens is Tony’s dream death but he dies in hospital.
@RoseA80@TheSopranosClub Yup… most likely during Tony’s peyote trip after killing Chris. Dream references throughout soundtrack, odd characters mention dreams and dreaming… capuzelle eaten… sheep’s head including brain… man in cowboy hat homage to Mulholland Drive… put it all together… dream.
@BigOliveri@TheSopranosClub If you like David Lynch stuff… Twin Peaks, Mulholland drive… watch it again and you might get it. If not, probably not worth rewatching it.
