Here are some #Red4Ed thoughts about the proposal to move all North Carolina teachers to a system of merit pay. Get that teacher voice ready!! 🍎🗣️

Highlight 1: I responded to @JEFordNCTOY' s editorial (which I agree with). The House Select Committee does not reflect the growing diversity of NC public school students and families, so how can they re-imagined education with them in mind? #nced#BlackIssuesForum
It takes faith to say, “God, I feel afraid. I’m intimidated. I don’t see how I can do this, but if You say I can, then I’m going to get in agreement with you and believe that I can.” That’s when you’ll discover talent, ability, courage, favor that you’ve never seen.
If you’ll start overflowing with hope, believing despite what it looks like, thanking God in the difficult times, expecting things to change in your favor, then you’re going to see God show out in your life.
We're in a crisis. Our schools are losing educators and staff, and our kids are suffering. We need to invest NOW to keep schools staffed. #OurKidsCantWait https://t.co/bk8Rli6v3G
Students of color are the largest demographic in North Carolina’s schools. Shouldn’t people who look like them help plan their future? https://t.co/Gb3IxlqNnH via @ncpolicywatch#NCed#ncpol#ncga#equity#race
The way you sharpen someone is by bringing out their good qualities. Praise them for what you like, encourage them in what they’re good at, cheer them on for what they’re doing right. Be a voice that pushes them forward.
We weren’t created to go through life overcome by problems, struggling to make it, stuck in mediocrity. God created us to reign, to be the victor and not the victim.
@SherryWillifor2 @heymrsbond Is this really a Pandemic 😷 problem or one that was already present but was unmasked as a result of the Pandemic . Not disagreeing with you just trying to make sense of the decline in the value of education and morals from students and parents
@heymrsbond This statement is so true and it’s 😢 sad. What’s worst they administer district leaders and the state along with the parents hold us accountable for the lack of growth academically..
@MyPBSNC@twkelly_EDU It’s awesome that state employees are stepping up to help but what about parents stepping up and being accountable and stop showing us the money and resources but given them freely be the change
