My goal is for my students to not only grow academically, but to grow as a WHOLE person! I want students to be able to call our classroom family and a place where they can be themselves! Can’t wait for this school year!
Excited to be apart of @emosier3 presentation at @iste this morning ditch the presentation!! It was a packed virtual room!! Learned about a lot of cool ideas to use in the classroom! #iste20LIVE#googleslides#ditchbook

Hope to see you next Thursday for week 7 of our TechLAP book study!
A3: I love using @googlemaps for students to see the area we live in! Especially right now, what they see is limited and this is a great way for them to learn about their community and others around the world! #ditchbook
A2: Setting goals!!! My 1st graders also love to “explore” new ways of thinking to find information! They love trying new things and sharing with each other in person and virtually! #ditchbook
A1: We are allowing our 1st graders to choose how they would like to research community helpers based on what they like! Then they will have a choice on how they want to share their findings with parents and their classmates! #ditchbook
Hey #ditchbook! My name is Elizabeth McCartney, 1st grade teacher, in LeClaire IA! Can’t wait for tonight’s chat! I get to dress up twice for our hybrid students at school and can’t forget the little one at home!
Some of you may need this reminder: you may be really struggling and may even feel like you're failing right now. But, remember that
Failure is a comma, not a period.
Pause, catch your breath, reflect, and keep going.
