So much noise out there. Do your soul a favor & turn down the volume on anyone (no matter how loud, popular, slick, cool, “wise,” or even religious) who suggests that anything could be more important or relevant for you today than knowing that the God who made you loves you.
“If anyone is ashamed of me and my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will be ashamed of them when he comes in his Father’s glory with the holy angels.”

The commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not covet,” and whatever other command there may be, are summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”

Studying atrocities committed by our ancestors isn’t an indictment of you. It’s a lesson for us.
Acknowledging the horrors of our history isn't a source of division. It's a force for unity.
Recognizing yesterday's oppression aligns us to pursue tomorrow's freedom.
