@behappydadda I think you're right Jim,it was oboe. I thought it really gave that album its essence . Kate St John's name seemed to crop up all over place then .
@behappydadda Great record. Love the previous one too ( Fried) the one with the giant Turtle shell sleeve pic's, excellent stuff. Met JC at Belladrum about 14 year's ago, lovely bloke played a blinding set that day too.
@behappydadda As I recall, Dale G really liked that one too . A tale of catholic guilt, toxic masculinity, and church hypocrisy. Recurring themes in a few Relations songs. Our single Big Man's Shoes was similar theme.
@behappydadda was with my manager when JP phoned to talk about a session. Spent more time talking about K Dalglish (we were all Celtic fans ) than the band / session etc lol. Our experience with Dale G was very different to your Python guy DG spent the whole sesh with us.
@Birmingham_81 Love this. My mate Scott who sadly died recently used to do what he called his James Brown dance when he was onstage with his band. Saw him do it at Dingwalls dance hall when they played there in 1983. Scott loved this clip and would post it regularly.
@behappydadda Nice one, MtH, fantastic band. We were totally awestruck in Maida Vale that day, couldn't believe a childhood hero was in the same room as us. I was that excited and naive I actually thought Peel himself was gonna be there too ☺.
@behappydadda The Relations. Couple of singles on our own label . That got us a Peel session in April 1986 ( Dale Griffin produced the Peel session ) ..
