Seen a bit of “yeah California has this every year” discourse wrt nyc smoke and… we didn’t in the 80s. Or 90s. Or most of the 00s. It’s a new phenomenon.
@conradmuan I'd been wanting to make something like this for a while. It all kinda came together when we traded one of our heavy as shit plasma tvs for a lighter LCD, and then found a free table on the sidewalk. Some in progress photos...

sorry for the qqt, but people saying "this is interchangeable with your first year running a startup"... no. Having both an MBA, and one year running a startup, they are not the same. "which one is better" is one of those questions like "which is the best programming language"
@MikeIsaac@goldman@hunterwalk Is any sector attached to the rest of the country though? I think tech feels it’s far more central than it actually is, but the notion that there are some sectors that are super pervasive seems off
