To honor this amazing news, I would like to propose that on July 10th every year, we as a community celebrate "@bordeauxyoutube Day"
On this day, our community will celebrate the selfless act that he & other creators took to save us from continually escalating microtransactions
@TheActualCC Unfortunately, no, the fastest we have now is a 1.5x speed versus in 26 we had 2x speed, plus they completely ignored RTG. This is basically the lowest offer they have to give us, the band-Aid on the wound if you will
Microtransactions weren't cool when they started. They weren't cool when Battlefront 2 had loot boxes. They aren't cool in Call of Duty or Battlefield. And they aren't cool on any single player game. I don't care what the microtransaction is for. They're dumb 😂 #CFBPlayDontPay
According to @MikeStrawMedia, many devs who knew about the stuff coming to College Football 27 were “livid” about it for months
He says “Even future single-player-only titles will have more monetization options enabled.” This is no longer about just CFB 27
This is about the future and direction of games coming from EA. I am speechless #CFBPlayDontPay
It really seems like it is everybody (including some people who worked on CFB 27) VS the decision makers at EA
There is still an opportunity for @EASPORTSCollege to make it right, but whoever is calling the shots would have to sign off
Give us “Our Game” back. Remove microtransactions and add back the fast XP settings. At least attempt to even find a middle ground
Do something because continuing to double down on the current state with no changes is ruining what should be an amazing launch moment for CFB 27
and if there is anything I have learned about the College Football community, they are loud, they are vocal, and they won’t just shut up bc you tried to ignore it #CFBPlayDontPay
EA really seems like they learned nothing from the Battlefront II loot box controversy… which, honestly, doesn’t surprise me.
Sneaking microtransactions into SINGLE PLAYER modes is insane work. Removing the faster XP progression options from Dynasty and Road to Glory at the same time they introduce paid progression is an egregious level of greed. Players already paid $70–$150 for the game—we shouldn’t be pushed toward spending even more just to avoid an unnecessary grind.
Stop turning every mode into a monetization opportunity and let us just play our football sandbox.
